FIFAs Modern Tower of Babel - World Cup to Qatar?!?!?!

So, the US loses its bid to host the 2022 World Cup.  Big whoop.  I figured as such.  And this is coming from a huge soccer fan.  Why not surprised or care?  Because FIFA, just like the Nobel Committee, the International Olympic Committee, the UN, and every other self-designated organization dedicated to ‘global-unity’ has sold out its charter in pursuit of ‘social justice.’  Who gets the tournament?  Why, that bastion of footy, that nation with such a rich and tremendous cultural heritage, that nation with gobs of petrol-euros: Qatar.  The sheer logistical nightmares of problem solving needed to successfully pull this off would be worthy of its own Nobel Prize in theoretical physics.  Seriously, has anyone ever been in the Middle East in the Summer?!?!?!  What are the teams, spectators and officials going to do all day?  Shop in malls?  Where are the many teams going to practice?  The country is smaller than Kuwait!

But, whether or not FIFA wants to actually view the real world through the lens of reality, reality will indeed bite back.  I’m personally interested in how the Qataris will apply even more paper-mache-thin veneer of tolerance of the infidels in the world’s most intolerant religion.  The only reason Qatar exists in its current state is the Emir’s ability to buy the world’s best security forces to secure himself against the Islamic radicals teeming in the region.  I’m really interested in seeing how FIFA will view the tortuous methods the Qatari security services will employ to shore up the regime and the country leading up to and including the event.  (For that matter, how about Russia in 2018?)

Bottom line, this is nothing more than FIFA’s continued quest to bring ‘social justice’ to the world through the world’s most popular sport.  It has nothing to do with the quality of the game, the enjoyment of the fans, or even the profits made by FIFA (As the US would assuredly bring the most profit to FIFA).  It does have everything to do with Sepp Blater and the other secular humanists in FIFA to bring glory and honor to themselves as supposed proliferators of change, justice, and the myriad of other hoopla liberals masquerade about in.  This is a tower of Babel to be built in Qatar (incidentally not too far from the original monument to man) to raise themselves to their self-imaged level of gods.  Fact of the matter is, I won’t be surprised at all to see God laugh and destroy their edifice like He did the first time.  Qatar 2022 is just another farce in the line of the Peace prize being awarded to Arafat, and Obama, brought about by the same class of utopian idiots.
