The Real Reason the GOP will not Confront Obama Effectively

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh the other day and in the second half of his opening monologue, he referenced the media-hyped “likeability” of President Obama.  He also alluded to the fact that the Republican Party leadership will be loath to attack Obama for who he is, repeating the same stupid mistakes that McCain did in 2008.  Instead, the conventional wisdom is that the inevitable GOP nominee (sorry, cannot help but be pessimistic when looking at the GOP’s history the past 50 years or so) will tip-toe around real issues and simply concentrate in policy differences.

Here is where this kind of thing is wrong.  People bought the Obama myth (lie) wholesale from the media, while the Hannity’s, Limbaugh’s, Beck’s, and Levin’s of the world loudly proclaimed that Obama was a socialist, with evil intentions on this country as we know it.  They proclaimed he was intent on “fundamentally changing” America, molding it into his vision.  Trouble is, when these same ‘alarmists’ started showing, by deed and word, that this change was radical Marxists, they were shouted down and shunned by the media and the public at large.  Now that Obama has done his best to “fundamentally change” America in the past two years, and the Democrats received the penalty for this overreach in November of 2010, the GOP is loath to bring up the true reasons for this?  This is a horrible miscalculation.  The American people KNOW something stinks in Washington.  They do NOT like what is going on.  If it is simply explained to them with facts, truths, and correct inferences, they will understand.  The facts are that Obama and his administration are Statists.  Call them Marxists, call them Fascists, call them pumpkins.  The fact is, they wish to control you, take your money, determine what you should have, and give money away to those they deem deserve it.

So, this begs the question, “Why?”  I’m sure if Rush had another dollar for every time a caller asked that question of the Republican leadership, he could simply buy an EIB 2, or even Gulfstream itself.  But, I think he neglected to hit on it yesterday.  I know he knows this, but didn’t mention it.  Not that I call him out.  I am not a highly trained broadcast specialist.  :)  The real reason is the GOP leadership STILL (after all these years) takes seriously whatever charge the media throws at them regardless of the ridiculousness of the premise.  And what is this charge?  Of course!  The race charge!  Sorry it took me 400 words to get to my point.

The GOP is still terrified that this lame, boogeyman albatross, the liberals continue to try to hang around the necks of conservatives will once again, find success.  Ten years ago, I may have agreed.  However, in light of current events and how much liberals have dropped their mask in the past two years, I find this reasoning fatally flawed.  The racist card has no impact any more.  It has been overused.  Just as when “Frankly Scarlett, I don’t give a damn” shocked movie-goers 70 years ago, the racist charge worked wonders for years.  Now that this bogus accusation is thrown at anyone who expresses any difference whatsoever with a liberal who happens to be a preferred minority, it has lost its luster.

If the GOP will not stop this cowardly acceptance of liberal premises, and not stop this childish desire to be liked and respected by the enemies of conservative values, prepare for another John McCain in 2012, and another four years of Marxist rule.

Reminding Folks of their Oath to the Constitution: "Fetish"

I guess I just have a “Fetish” for the Constitution; not some sort of duty, oath, or willingness to give up my life for it.

This morning I am equally parts outraged and dumbfounded about how completely ignorant and out of touch our ruling class liberal elites in both the political realm and the new media.  The new buzzword today is “fetish”.  As in, “the Constitution fetish on the right”.  Now according to Webster’s these are the definitions for “fetish”:

b : an object of irrational reverence or obsessive devotion : prepossession c : an object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression

I am not certain to which definition these fools are referring to, but I for one cannot find a solitary, rational reason for the use of this word to describe what the House did yesterday in reading the Constitution of the United States before opening the 112^th session of that body.

I for one am completely outraged that a formal, ceremonial recitation of the one foundational, legal document that gives authority to this very body can be characterized (connotatively, of course, as they meant it…. See “Teabaggers” if you do not follow) as a sexually-perverse practice.

You see, twice now (and soon to be a third and final time) I have sworn an oath before the God of all creation, my peers, my subordinates, and my commanders, to defend this very document they so flippantly denigrate with my very life.

These are the words of my oath and the oaths of millions of other fellow enlisted servicemen over the years, many of whom did pay the ultimate price for said defense:

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Every person who has been elected to this Congress recites a similar oath.  Our own presidents recite a similar oath.  Please note that this oath is pledged to defend this document.  Not a political ideology, not one’s personal opinions or values, not one’s heritage or ethnic background, not even one’s lawful supervisors, bosses, and commanders.

No we do not mindlessly give up our rational thinking, nor do we even believe the document is infallible.  Far from it!  The writers of this Constitution wrote it with the key understanding that human beings are corrupt, fallible creatures, and the only way to check this kind of behavior was therefore, written in.  It’s a testimony to the writers’ acknowledgement of the depravity of mankind that this Republic has lasted so long.  That is why we have ways to redress perceived wrongs within the document.  This Republic was torn apart by the evils of slavery.  The document was followed and amended to change this matter.  Because of the nature of this document, the will of the people must be followed … which is precisely why this is a threat to the left.

It’s quite telling how disdainfully these elitist, Brahmin snobs view this one document.  And, as Rush pointed out yesterday, it’s telling how threatened they are by this Congress.  This Congress is the crucifix to the Dracula that has been ruling the people the past two years.

Don't Ask Don't Tell Repeal Vote - Liberals Again Playing Politics with National Security

Which political party plays politics with national security again?

So, the US military, the last bastion of officially sanctioned traditional morals in our corrupt society received perhaps a mortal blow yesterday.  After weathering three earlier, diversionary attacks from the Democrat Senate this year, the party of lewdness, lasciviousness, infanticide, euthanasia, and perverseness, has once again played politics with our national security.  Does anyone have any doubts now about what the liberals think about the US Constitution?

It finds rights in that document to mandate private citizens to purchase health-welfare, to murder unborn children, and to confiscate income from the productive members of our society; but openly despises and persecutes one of the few things the Constitution actually mandates our Federal government do:  provide for the defense.

This vote took place on the Saturday night before Christmas, (the favored time for Liberals to sneak through abominable legislation), before the new Congress takes over.  This vote was given top cover by politicians in the Department of Defense and the Joint Staff.  Mullen and Gates are to blame for this debacle probably more than our lib political rulers; they SHOULD know better.  This panel, as I’ve already discussed here was simply a “this is what is going to happen; here is how you are going to do it.  What are your questions?”  This panel in no way, shape, or form, accurately represents the true opinions of our military.  This doesn’t even begin to describe the moral aspect of this repeal, simply the traditional idiotic liberal touchy, feely subjects they seem to care so much about.  Except when we are talking about the military of course… then they don’t care.

The gays who are in the military right now (even according to their abominable survey) do not want to have their sexuality exposed.  They have the right and correct belief that it would simply an extra issue that would disrupt good morals and discipline.  The ones who wish for this repeal to take place make their sexual identity the most important aspect of their entire life.  They put their sexual identity in higher place than the oaths they would swear to uphold.  That is the bottom line.  Therein lies the potential for vast disruption.

I already envision what will take place.  We already have a sizable minority of black soldiers who have been taught (by the Democrats of course) that they are a protected minority and a perpetual victim.  Thankfully, it is a small minority in the military, but it does occur.  They milk that perception, shirking their duties, being lazy, and when confronted with it, throw the race card!  “You are discriminating against me because I’m black!”  “No!  PFC Lazy, I’m discriminating against you because you are a do-nothing, lazy pain in my butt!”  This WILL take place.  I guarantee it.  And by this time, we will have a new ‘Equal Opportunity’ (an Orwellian titled program that fights ‘discrimination’ in the ranks) mandate to coddle and take care of our best-dressed soldier-boys from anything that would dare offend their sensibilities.

So, the next time someone tries to tell you the GOP is playing games with our national security, just think of this abomination.

Thoughts on the Lame Duck Session

Well, it's been almost two weeks since my last posting.  Apologies all around.  School, work, Christmas, and nasty sicknesses spread by my three and one year old walking petri dishes have seriously impacted my writing, and coherent thinking ability.

So, without further ado, quasi-organized thoughts on the travesty of the lame duck session:

Why is it that every time we send a loud and clear message to the establishment Republicans, they pretend they do not hear us.  Are they seriously this deaf?

Issue the first:  The Tax ‘Cut’ Compromise.  Let’s analyze this.  We get a continuation of the current tax “rates” (they are NOT cuts) for two years.  We get a slightly meaningless 2% cut in payroll withholdings (wait until they take that out of your precious tax ‘refunds’ you silly masses).  They get another year of unemployment welfare (let’s face it, it’s beyond ‘benefits’ when it’s beyond two years).  They also give Obama a chance to pretend this is some great compromise on his behalf, to benevolently attempt to ‘hear’ his subjects and prove to them once and for all that Reagan ‘trickle-down’ economics does not work.

Where is the benefit to us?  I’m sorry, I do not see it.  Businesses are not going to dramatically alter their current plans because the inevitable tax hikes has been put off for two years.  Unemployment is NOT going to go down, in fact it will increase once this goes into effect.  What the GOP should have done is to take the offensive like we the people mandated they do on November 2.  They should have said the Democrats had four years to make this deal, and they waited until the lame duck session.  They should have held out and hung this albatross of tax hikes around the neck of the Democrats.  When are they gonna learn that there is NO compromise with these people.  Their ultimate goal is the destruction of American exceptionalism and capitalism.  Our goal needs to be stopping this.  Not going along to get along.  The game has changed.

Issue the second:  This Omnibus Spending bill?!?!?!?!  The loony lefties in the House and Senate had all year to pass their own budget but knew they would have gotten murdered even worse in the election had they done one.  What’s worse, is all these lame ducks who got voted out are now sticking their finger up at the American people while they toss the match into the accelerant, walking away laughing as the fiscal house, already in a blighted state, goes up in flames.

Issue the third:  Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.  If anyone would have actually taken the time to ASK the soldiers their personal opinion of its repeal they would have gotten a vastly different picture.  But no, we, the good, dutiful soldiers, when asked how would it affect the military, looked at ways to accomplish the mission, as we could read between the lines that this was a fait-accompli.  We are not stupid.  We understand and can smell social engineering projects a mile away.  We’ve put up with these experiments for over thirty years now.  But, then again, these libs don’t care at all about the defense of this nation, nor do they care about the opinions of the military.  And this ‘panel’ study of the military is simply top-cover for spineless Republicans to weasel out of moral stances.  We should not be surprised at any effort that is made by Democrats to undermine and destroy our military.  They know the military is, apart from the American armed citizen, the ultimate check on their dream of destroying the Constitution.  And, no, this is not a loony conspiracy.  This is simply based upon sound logic and observation.  Remember, liberals ALWAYS lie.  That is all they can do, because if they disclosed their true motives, they would NEVER be in power.

I’m so tired of this.  My country is on the Highway to Hell and the party we patriots have entrusted our last remaining shreds of hope is simply throwing meaningless obstacles that slow down the federal behemoth just barely.  We are approaching the cliff folks, and the GOP is still just trying to be liked, make friends, and get invited to the next cocktail party.

We Are Doomed - If We Continue Present Course

Wake Up!!!

Riddle me this Batman:  With the entirety of the Western Democracies crumbling under crushing debt; the Greeks, Irish, Portuguese, and Spanish turning to the sole-remaining Western European industrial power Germany , who in turn looks to the US for bail-outs of NEVER-sustainable social-welfare spending programs; what is backing all of this?  Back in the sane years of the US economy, with each dollar printed by the US Treasury backed up by an actual physical piece of gold (still valued for over 10,000 years), there was a level of verifiable trust between the provider of a product or service and the consumer of said product and service.  Fast forward to now.  At least in America, the public sector unions and auto unions have driven to ridiculous levels, the price of domestic labor.  Simply, put, auto workers and government workers are not worth their wages in an open market system.  Consider GM.  The union wages and pension plans bankrupted GM.  The automaker was forced to cut costs in nearly all aspects of their operations, except for their human capital.  The result was overpriced, inferior products (and in an open market, Japanese and other manufacturers quickly overtook these hunks of junk), which naturally decreased sales, which decreased profits, which caused their rapid demise.  Then, we were told the companies were ‘too big to fail’ and the government stepped in, screwed the investors by paying them pennies on the dollar in settlement, handed the companies over to the auto unions, and profited from the entire operation with tax dollars (deficit, tax dollars no less).

The same happened with the public sector.  Except, like the car companies, there is no need for a middle man.  All the government needs to do is essentially print money.  Cue Orwellian-phrased quantitative easing one and two.  The state governments of California and New York are broke with public sector-employee spending at NEVER-sustainable levels.  (New Jersey looks like it may yet be saved by a politician who actually gets it, and has touched the third, and fourth, and fifth rails of state politics, tackling the teachers and other unions).  If you think Italy, Spain, Ireland, and Portugal are bad.  Who do you think is going to hold the bag for California and New York?  Texas, and other functioning states!

Back to overseas.  While America has the gas pedal floored towards oblivion, the Western Democracies have already spent themselves into said oblivion and are begging the rest of the world for handouts.  Meanwhile, Greece burns down, students in Britain are rioting, and the Irish companies look ready to flee as their government seeks to loot the only source of their continued income (It’s no wonder so many companies have sheltered in Ireland as their corporate tax rates are so low).  So, Germany, hesitatingly seeks to bail out the socialist-basket cases (probably in continued self-flagellation for their role in earlier wars… I mean seriously, why fund an entire continent of lazy, croissant-snacking, cheese and wine snob leeches?!?!?!).  And the only reason they do this, is because… we hold the bag.  That’s right, we are now increasing the EU/IMF ‘European Stability Fund’ (think of the porkulus bill on a global scale… a public sector union slush fund for the Western Democratic leeches who have sucked our defense dollars dry for over 60 years… and this is with entire consent of our ruling class of Democrats and Republicans (don’t forget, Bernanke was a Bush appointee)).

Now, I am not an economics major.  In fact, I got a C in Economics in college because I thought it boring and un-important (and didn’t show up to an 0800 class).  But, I did predict back in 2001 that the Euro was an unsustainable, utopian pipe-dream.  Seriously, you think the Germans appreciated their cost of living to double overnight (it did too.  I was here then and saw the prices of goods go from 2.59DM to 2.59DM € overnight (now, the wizards of smart poo-poo this observation by saying wages doubled overnight too.  But, doesn’t that prove the point.  Inflation of 200% overnight!?!?  It works both ways.  Trouble is it affects prices before wages.  Don’t give me that logic ivory tower))?!?!?!  And just this week after seeing that the EU was going to bailout Ireland, I predicted we would again be picking up the tab in the same manner we shored up the German bailout of Greece with the start of this ‘Euro-stimulus’ trash.  Do you really need to be some highly educated, ivory-tower, elitist intellectual to understand that if you pay more than you can afford, bad things will eventually happen?

So, then, the ultimate question:  What’s next?  I pondered that this morning when I thought of the next logical step in this process.  OK, it’s musical chairs.  Eventually the music stops and who’s standing solo?  The Greeks found their seat, the Irish have too, Britain and France look to be trying to rebuild their chairs solo, the Germans found their seats after we said, “after you Frau Merkel,” and we look to be scoping out one of the last chairs while China, Japan, Brazil, India, Russia and others who make our chairs eyeball us expectantly.  Who will be holding the bag?  China’s Yuan is tied to the dollar (for now, though their abandonment of it in trade with Russia is disconcerting) still.  And, China has agreed to continue to fund our debt, buying up another large share of it, even after we publically announced we will print worthless money to pay for it (QE2).  Why?  Hmmm… mysterious object flying off our coast (do you actually trust the official explanation… oh, wait a sec, there isn’t)… North Korea rattles its saber again off of China’s coast.  China almost able to replace its US export market in Africa.  A US president who seeks to unilaterally surrender to Russia… even after the Cold War ended.  Taiwan… I’d be quaking in your boots about now.  Remember, money is simply a tool.  Power, and the ability to take, is another tool.  China knows how to wield both.

Is all lost?  Yes, if we continue to elect incompetent morons like McConnel, McCain, Graham, Reid, etc. and vicious, anti-American power-grabbers like Obama and Pelosi.  Sorry, I do not have much optimism.  Romney is not the answer.  Jindal is not the answer.  Cantor just fell like a meteor with his recent comments on Obamacare (preexisting condition coverage is NOT INSURANCE!!!!  It’s a payment plan.  It’s a bailout for the lazy, and tragically, sometimes, unfortunate).  Chris Christie and others like him seem to be the only hope.  People who are not afraid to take on the unions and the leeches in American society are our sole remaining hope.  It will not be easy… and that is why I am afraid.  We need to continue to spread the alarm of fear and doom.  Do you want to see your life’s savings destroyed by fiat by Bernanke and company who’s lust for power transcends borders and culture?  If not, continue to spread the message.

OK.  I’ve rambled enough.  Hope it’s coherent enough.  Remember folks, I’m just a simple person who understands the times.  And, thank God Almighty, I do not place my hope in the institutions of men, otherwise, I’d be pretty much suicidally-hopeless.

But, hey, sorry to interrupt your Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, and NFL games.  Lenin was wrong.  Religion is not the opiate of the masses… American materialism is.

Obama Recess Appointee Violating Federal Law with Impunity

File this under further criminal abuses of the Obama administration.

Last week, the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) gave permission to the Transportation Security Administration to vote whether or not they would be represented by organized labor unions.  Bear in mind that this decision is in direct violation of the Congressional legislation authorizing the creation of this disgrace of a Federal Agency.

In all this recent fervor over the use of risky (especially for very-frequent travelers) and invasive scanners, and the border-line sexual molestation of physical searched, what is lost is the fact that this decision is precisely why House Republicans wavered on President Bush’s call for the federalization of the airline security system.  Further lost is the fact that the head of the FLRA is Craig Becker, “a former top lawyer with Service Employees International Union and the AFL-CIO, whose nomination was rejected by the Senate [in February], 52-43” (by a Democrat-majority Senate by the way).

So, let’s review shall we?  The SEIU (largely FEDERAL (read Obama’s) employees) and other organized labor unions contributed $74.5 million to candidates in the 2008 campaign including $60.7 to Obama’s.  Obama then rewards his labor friends (oh, sorry, employees) with the nearly $1 billion slush fund disingenuously labeled an economic ‘stimulus’.  This slush fund largely rewards federal labor employees, protecting them from the ravages of the Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Andrew Cuomo-induced recession.  Then, in keeping with his regime’s practice of governing against the will of the people (including his own Democrat Senate!), he recess appoints a long-time labor buddy with histories in the SEIU and the AFL-CIO, who then violates federal law by giving permission to organize federal labor unions.  And people wonder how these hucksters manage to stay in power!?!?!

This administration is a criminal enterprise.  It is organized fraud perpetrated on the workers and producers of American society.  This regime is now blatantly, and with abandon violating Federal Law to empower its political base.  The comparisons between this regime and other banana republic and/or African oligarchies are striking.  And whose job is it to enforce the law?  Good luck getting Obama crony and reverse racist Eric Holder to do his job!  Congressman Issa, it falls to you and the future Congress to investigate this most recent and all the other abuses of power and outright violation of law this regime is guilty of.

Grab Your Popcorn!!! - The Charlie Rangel Ethics Trial

Grab your popcorn!  This is entertainment!  Charlie Rangel’s ethics trial began yesterday in the House of Representatives lame-duck session to close out this ultimate abomination of a Congress.  Rangel, as always, provided jaw-dropping, outrageously comedic statements and antics, made all the sweeter that this may be the final curtain call for this charlatan.

Rangel’s most recent problems revolve around his ‘failure’ to report over $600,000 in personal assets.  How a career politician earns enough money from the tax-payer trough that $600,000 in assets is simply an oversight is insulting enough to hard-working Americans struggling to find work in this economy, but the most disturbing matter is how the current chief counsel, Blake Chisam, described the incident.  “Chisam, who said none of the material facts are in dispute, claimed he did not believe Rangel's conduct was corrupt, but rather ‘overzealous’ and ‘sloppy in his personal finances.’”

Hmmm… sloppy.  Where have I heard that term used before when Democrats have been busted committing crimes?  Sandy Berger, upon STEALING classified documents from the National Archives: “Sloppy.”  Tim Geithner’s tax evasion: “When it comes to bad tax returns, there's sloppy, dumb and criminal, and Geithner's appears merely sloppy, especially since the error was so elementary.”  Joe Biden’s acceptance of illegal campaign contributions:  “Sloppy.”  A freshman Democrat congressman who, when down in the polls, planted a campaign supporter in the race as a “tea-partier” to leech off votes from his Republican challenger:  “Sloppy.”

But, please!  I can't afford an attorney!

Well, with the premise already set (hey, he’s not guilty, just incompetent!), by the ‘prosecutor’ no less, things couldn’t get any better.  Or could they?  Even before the trial started, Rangel argued for a delay claiming that he could not afford legal counsel.  In typical over-the-top fashion, Charlie exclaimed that "50 years of public service is on the line."  Hey!  You are going to ruin me!  Leeching off my consituents and special interests is all I have!!!  He stated he had plenty of people willing to defend him pro bono, but that would be a violation of ethics rules!  Really, Charlie!  Now you care once you got caught?  What a leech!  This is of course, after the allegations surfaced that he illegally used $293,000 from his leadership Political Action Committee to pay personal legal fees stemming from this investigation.  He then stormed out of the committee room in standard grandiose fashion.

So, let me get this straight.  Charlie hides $600,000 of personal assets.  He steals PAC funds to pay for his defense once this is made public.  He then cries about not being able to afford his own attorney.  There is nothing quite as sad and amusing as watching this 80-year old, corrupt, leech of a politician, made fat off of abuse of his office, getting pulled kicking and squealing from the teat of the mama pig, the US taxpayer.  I don’t know whether to laugh, cry, or scream in outrage.

How’s this for the “most ethical Congress ever”?
